The Property module is a hub for managing your property portfolio. As a Landlord, you are able to manage your properties, tenants, documentation and Insurance policies all in one place.
To get started, create your first property...
PROPERTY DASHBOARD
Now a property has been added, there are three Icons which show your compliance status with the three following areas:
1. Property data and checklist compliance/completion.
2. Tenant data.
3. Insurance data.
Proceed through the 'Tenants' and 'Insurances' sections to add each to your property.
CHECKLIST
The next step is to complete the Checklist for each property. This is essentially a group of questions which are used to assess how compliant your Property is with various regulations. Each question is accompanied by an upload which will automatically be prompted when you answer a question. You do not have to provide documentation immediately, however the validation check on the main dashboard will show as red until all necessary file have been uploaded.
In the checklist screen there are three extra buttons:
1. This button allows you to replace the existing document with a new one. The document that you replace will be archived but will still be available to you in the future.
2. This button allows you to download the current active document for this category. If you have not yet uploaded a document it will be grayed out.
3. This button will provide you with a short description of the chosen category.
All documents that you upload here will be available both within the Checklist screen, and also in the documents tab on the hub screen. You can download, share and archive these documents from here.
DOCUMENTS
In the 'Documents' tab you can see any documentation that has been uploaded anywhere within the module. You can also add documents separately here and attach them to your properties as and when.
There are a few important features to take note of within this section:
1. You may see that a document has been flagged as 'Issued by Insurer', this means that your Insurer has sent it to you and expects you to either complete the document and re-upload it, or to provide confirmation that you have received it. You can see which of these you are expected to provide by hovering over the button in the 'Action' column.
2. Your insurer may ask you to 'share' one of your documents with them, to do this, click on the blue share icon next to the download button. You will be asked to provide a date that the document will be available until. This system is in place to protect you and ensure that your Insurer only has access to your documentation with your consent.
COMPLIANCE OVERVIEW
The compliance overview is a more detailed summary of the compliance levels across your portfolio. The items in this overview are the categories from your checklist, and the checklist from each of your active properties will be included here.
